Avocado Toast with Egg
Avocado toast with egg is one of our favorite healthy breakfasts that come together in less than 15 minutes. Perfect for all age groups, easy to make, and oh so delicious.
I love fun ways to mix it up with my avocado toast! Avocado toast can seriously satisfy every craving imaginable. The toasty bread and the smooth and creamy avocado mash up is just so yummy. But to take my toasts (and many other recipes for that matter) to the next level of deliciousness, I added another tasty ingredient.
A good sprinkling of McCormick Sundried Tomato Basil Pasta Seasoning along with a few other fun toast toppings make for a match made in heaven. Combining your favorites along with this incredible seasoning mix over crusty bread will truly make your tastebuds dance!
Not only can McCormick Pasta Seasoning Blends help you whip up yummy pasta dishes with more versatility than existing box blends and sauces, they can be used for so much more. I like to use them sprinkled over my avocado toasts, for sure, but they’re also greatness over meats, mixed in salads and make for delicious soup stirred into broth. It’s all about making recipe-free cooking a breeze!
If you are making up pasta sauce with your McCormick Pasta Seasoning Blends, you simply heat on stovetop in a bit of water or milk, and then toss with hot cooked pasta. A flavorful meal really couldn’t be more easy… or delicious!
I also really appreciate that McCormick Pasta Seasoning Blends are made with no artificial flavors or colors, so you can feel good about serving your family any wonderful meals made extra fabulous with McCormick Pasta Seasoning Blends.
Avocado Toast with Egg
Ingredients
- 4 slices whole-grain bread or bread of choice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 large eggs
- 2 small ripe avocados or 1 large, seeded and peeled
- Kosher salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Pickled red onions, optional
Instructions
- Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Lay the bread slices and toast them until crisp and golden brown on both sides. Alternatively, you can toast the bread in a toaster. Set aside.
- To the same preheated pan, heat the oil on medium-low heat. Crack the eggs, cook them for about 6-8 minutes, or until the whites are fully set and the yolk is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Meanwhile, to a shallow plate, mash the avocado with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- To assemble the toast, spread a spoonful of mashed avocado over the toast. Top with 1 fried egg and season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground pepper. Serve with pickled red onion and enjoy!
Notes
Choose ripe but firm avocados.
Pickled onions are optional but make for a great addition.

I’d love to try all three styles. As much as I love avocado and tomatoes, I despise cheese. For me, the first variation ought to be the best one. Cheers!!

I will have to pick up those seasoning blends! McCormick is our fave, especially for black pepper, so this pasta mix sounds perfect for us. I will try to eat more avocado toast now, as it’s always helped with my cholesterol.
