Hi there! I’m Kim – the recipe developer, photographer, writer, and taste tester behind Kim’s Cravings (although my whole family helps out quite a bit with the taste testing part!). I LOVE getting creative in the kitchen and then posting my creations here for you to enjoy. Take some time to browse through the many recipes I’ve created over the years, and let me know when you try one! (I’d recommend this salsa recipe as a good starting point – it gets rave reviews and is amazing!)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
about the author
I was raised in Texas where I now live with my husband, three kiddos and two little grandsons. My kids are all pretty picky eaters, so I know if they love a recipe, it’s a keeper!
I received my bachelor’s degree in Education and taught elementary for four years. I then went back to college and earned a master’s degree in Special Education. I worked as an Educational Diagnostician for eight years before leaving that position to have more time for creating recipes and manage Kim’s Cravings full time. I could not be more happy and thankful to be able to do something every day that I’m so passionate about and have such fun with.
I have a HUGE sweet tooth and LOVE pizza, but luckily I also love to run and lift weights. I am obsessed with the fall season, traveling, murder mysteries, eating, and spending time with my family. (And not in that order.) Oh, I also like to bake and cook – but maybe that was implied. 😊
about the recipes
All of the recipes you’ll find on this site are developed by me (unless otherwise noted). I love experimenting in the kitchen and creating new, delicious recipes. Or, I’m just in the kitchen eating. Both are good. I develop my recipes through good old fashioned trial and error. But whether I get it right the first time or the 15th time, I make sure every recipe that shows up here is of the highest quality.
I try to eat a balanced diet of healthful foods, but I do also love desserts. You’ll find that most of my recipes are healthy and easy, but still taste great! That said, I do have treats on the site that aren’t very healthy, but I have found that eating is all about balance. I hope you find many recipes, here, that you can enjoy.
