Stitch Fix- January 2016
Hello, friends! Welcome to my first Stitch Fix of 2016! If my shipment is any indication of how this year’s going to go, I’d say I’m in for a pretty fantastic 2016. 🙂
This first Stitch Fix review of 2016 also marks my 11th box. I’m starting to really feel like a Stitch Fix veteran! Ha!

Kamile Jersey Ruched Detail Dress by Gilli | S | 54.00 | Keep
For this fix, I had added a note to my stylist letting her know that I would like a dress that could be worn during the wintertime. It’s been awhile since I’ve received a dress and I often like dressing up a little for work. She could not have sent me a more perfect dress. I’m a huge fan of black (I think she’s figured that out!) and I love that the Kamile Jersey dress is super comfy, but can look really dressy too.
It can be worn in cooler weather with a cardigan and tights, but will also be great this summer, as it’s sleeveless. I’ve already worn it to work and to an unfortunate event, my grandfather’s funeral. I was glad to have something classic and simple to wear to the service. I paired it with my favorite SPANX tights and Vince Camuto Corra booties.
And from the back.
I love the ruched detail and how flattering it is around the waist. A little black dress for $54 is a pretty great deal, too. This was a definite keeper!
Kamile Galen Crystal Long Necklace by Marlyn Schiff | 44.00 | Keep
Something else I requested was a long gold necklace. Man, Tiff sure came through for me with the Galen Crystal Long Necklace! I love that it’s a combo of gold and black with a touch of crystal. I don’t like my jewelry too blingy and this necklace is SO me.
Amici Printed Sleeve Knit Top by Le Lis | XS | 54.00 | Keep
This top is just okay. It’s actually worked best as a layering piece. I really needed a long sleeve black tee to wear under sweaters and vests. I’m still not sure how I feel about the dots and stripes on the sleeves. I did wear this to work, yesterday, with my 41 Hawthorn vest and it looked pretty cute. However, this is the one item I probably would have sent back if not for my “buy 5” discount.
Nella Open Cardigan by 11 Star | XS | 64.00 | Keep
I like this sweater, but I would prefer it to be shorter. I’ve paired this most often with my CALIA tights when I’m out and about running errands and want to be comfy and warm. Pairing it with tights, makes it seem a little less bulky then it looks in the photos. Tiff suggested that I pair with the Gilli dress above, but that did nothing to flatter me.
I do love the texture and colors. The black with off-white works well because this goes with so much in my closet.
Evie Draw String Funnel Neck Sweatshirt by Loveappella | XS | 64.00 | Keep
This sweater is really lovely. LOVE it! It has a wonderful fit, a trendy cowl neckline with a cute tie, and the color goes great with jeans. The sweater sleeves and fit is on the shorter side, making it a wonderful choice for petite people. I chose to pair it with my favorite Frye Jackie Button boots and my favorite Kensie skinny ankle biters jeans. This outfit is a favorite of mine! Thanks, Tiff!
I’ve already worn this to work on casual Friday, to the grocery store a couple of weekends ago and out this past weekend to see The Revenant. Must see, by the way!

I’m so jealous you got a dress for so little! The last few dresses I’ve gotten from them have been more like $74. Your dress looks great, too! And I love those sweaters.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. I couldn’t believe it was so cheap and it’s not one of those pieces that has a cheapy feel.
I keep debating about trying stitch fix but haven’t. Do you know if you can purchase some of your items without stitch fix? There was one green striped shirt I would have loved, but it said it was from thredup, a consignment shop?
I’m not sure I understand your question. Everything you are sent in your Stitch Fix shipment is from Stitch Fix. Let me know if I can help in any way. 🙂
I love reading Stitch Fix posts; it always feels like I get to open the box myself… 🙂
You got GREAT pieces! That dress & necklace are fabulous! And the sweaters are awesome, too!
I’m the exact same way with Stitch Fix posts. 🙂 I got pretty lucky with this shipment!
