Thick, creamy and packed with protein, this caffè mocha power shake will give you all-day energy.
You guys know how much I’m in love with coffee. My day is just not complete unless it starts with coffee in some form. A healthy breakfast is a must, too, though. Weeeeeeell, this easy caffè mocha power shake combines the best of both worlds in one and does so with the ease of a single serve coffee pod.
The night before, brew a Folgers® Coffeehouse Blend K-cup in your Keurig. And you immediately know, when that classic aroma hits the air, it’s got to be Folgers® Coffee.
Let the coffee cool and then pour the coffee into an ice tray and allow the coffee to freeze overnight (or even days ahead of time). I like to have frozen coffee ice cubes on hand for this shake and other iced coffee concoctions.
Once you’ve got coffee ice cubes, load them along with all other ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. This shake is thick, which is exactly how I like them. If you prefer a thinner shake, just add a little more almond milk and blend for a few more seconds.
Let’s be honest, life is busy, and mornings don’t always turn out as leisurely as we would like. That’s where this yummy shake recipe comes into play. It combines breakfast and my favorite morning beverage all into one. I’d say that’s a win-win all around.

- 1 small frozen banana
- 1 tablespoon powdered peanut butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (vegan and/or gluten-free, if preferred)
- ½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond or cashew milk
- ½ cup Folgers Coffeehouse Blend brewed coffee (made into ice cubes)
- ½ cup ice
- Blend all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
Nutritional information may vary depending on size of banana, protein powder and other ingredients used. I used 90 grams banana, MRM Chocolate Veggie Protein 25 grams, Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Cashew Milk and Peanut Butter & Co. Vanilla Powdered Peanut Butter.
I found Folgers Coffeehouse Blend 12 ct. K-Cups, with all other coffee items, while shopping at my local Kroger. Folgers Coffeehouse Blend 25.4oz Ground Coffee is also available.
