Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie
Strawberry cheesecake lovers you’re in for a real treat. Yes, this smoothie is definitely a keeper. It’s full of protein, naturally sweetened, naturally gluten-free, ready to go in minutes, and tastes like the dessert; that inspired it. Such deliciousness!
Don’t worry – it doesn’t have to be fresh strawberry season to make this one. All you need are some frozen strawberries (which are naturally so sweet!), some oats (use gluten-free oats as needed), Greek yogurt (probiotics + protein), milk (I love almond or cashew milk), vanilla extract, almond extract, a pinch of salt, and you’re good to go.
Blend ‘er up until it’s nice and smooth, then give it a quick taste. I find strawberries to be so sweet that this recipe is fine as is, but if you’d like a sweeter smoothie, feel free to add in a packet or two of Stevia or a teaspoon or two of maple syrup or honey. If you like your smoothie extra thick (I do!), add in ice.
You guys know I am OBSESSED with smoothies and smoothie bowls. Not only are they friggin delicious, but they look amazing and are packed with energy boosting goodness. With the addition of yogurt, they also have a nice dose of probiotics to support a healthy digestive system. I’m all about getting in plenty of probiotics and protecting my gut health.
Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that are good for your digestive system. In addition to enjoying yogurt-rich foods, like this smoothie, I take Renew Life® Ultimate Flora Extra Care Probiotic.
This Renew Life® Probiotic, digestive health contains 30 billion live cultures per capsule and 10 scientifically studied probiotic strains. So, why do I take them, you ask… they can help restore digestive balance and support immune health*. The Ultimate Flora Extra Care Daily Probiotic, digestive health is a once daily delayed-release capsule for targeted delivery. It’s also dairy and gluten free.
At Renew Life®, they believe a healthy gut is a happy gut.
It’s best to take your probiotic with a little something in your tummy, so let’s whip this smoothie up! It’s just the ticket for a lightly-sweet and satisfying breakfast, snack, or after-dinner treat!
