This Grilled or Baked Brie with apricot preserves requires almost no effort at all. You just need a wheel of Brie, apricot preserves, dried cranberries, chopped pecans and bread. The flavor of this appetizer is amazing. It's buttery, ooey, gooey, delicious cheesy goodness. There's not much better than melty Brie, with sweet fruit, nuts, and bread!
baguette and/or french bread sliced and crackers for serving
Instructions
Place Brie on heavy duty aluminum foil sheet. Score top of the Brie with a sharp knife, a couple of times.
Wrap foil around Brie to seal.
Place the foil package of brie on the edge of a campfire or grill until warmed. About 5-7 minutes. For oven heating, place in a 350 degree oven for 5-7 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine apricot preserves, dried cranberries and pecans in a small bowl. Mix well and set aside.
If serving with sliced bread, drizzle olive oil on the bread slices and grill them a couple of minutes per side. Set aside.
Once Brie is cooked, unwrap from foil, top with apricot topping. Can be served hot or at room temperature. Serve with bread and crackers.
Notes
Nuts: Any nuts will work. Pecans, almonds, walnuts and pistachios are great choices. If you want to keep this nut-free, feel free to leave them off.
Preserves: Apricot is a favorite of mine, but fig jam would be delicious here. Really any jam would be delicious!
Dried fruit: I like using cranberries, but raisins or cherries are other tasty options. You can also leave the dried fruit off, if preferred.
