Baked Brie
Are you ready for the easiest appetizer EVER!? Seriously, this Baked Brie is the best appetizer! You only need four ingredients, but it’s so flavorful and delicious that no one will guess just how simple it is to make. I think one of the most popular things I cook may just be warm, gooey melted Brie. And this Grilled or Baked Brie with apricot preserves, pecans and cranberries is probably my best brie combo yet!
This post is sponsored by Lactalis for Président®. All opinions are my own.
I am all about the Brie wheel, especially Président® Brie. It’s kind of my favorite thing to serve over the holidays or for special occasions, it’s just so easy and delish. I have yet to meet a person who does not LOVE Brie. When you mix the sweet preserves with the creamy Brie cheese, you’ll find yourself eating the whole wheel. True story. Haha, ooops!
How Do You Make A Simple Baked Brie Appetizer?
You guys know how much I love the combo of sweet and savory, so clearly this Brie is totally my kind of recipe.
Let me break it down for you.
If you have yet to try grilling your Brie, I highly recommend you do it! You need to experience the amazingness that is grilled Brie. Simply use a sharp knife to score the top of the Brie a few times. Then, wrap it in heavy duty aluminum foil. This works great as the perfect campfire appetizer too! This Brie is lightly grilled for about 5-7 minutes and has a slightly smoky flavor to it… so good!
If you don’t have access to a grill, wrap the Brie in foil and bake it at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes.
While the Brie is heating up, make the apricot topping by stirring together apricot preserves with dried cranberries and chopped pecans. Such a tasty combo!
Once the Brie is cooked, unwrap it and spoon the apricot preserves mixture over the top of the Brie, and serve it up with toasted or grilled bread. You could also use crackers, but I’m really just a melty cheese + bread kind of person.
This Grilled or Baked Brie with apricot preserves requires almost no effort at all. You just need to have some Président® Brie, apricot preserves, dried cranberries, chopped pecans and bread. The flavor of this appetizer is amazing. It’s buttery, ooey, gooey, delicious cheesy goodness. Honestly, is there anything better than melty Brie, with sweet fruit, nuts, and bread? It’s probably one of my favorite food combos.
What To Serve With Baked Brie
I like to serve baked Brie on a large platter or cheese board with the following, to make a pretty presentation.
- Crackers
- Crostini
- Pita chips
- Apple slices
- Grapes
- Nuts
- Fresh herbs
Baked Brie Variations
Feel free to experiment with the ingredients to include your favorite flavors!
- Nuts: Any nuts will work. Pecans, almonds, walnuts and pistachios are great choices. If you want to keep this nut-free, feel free to leave them off.
- Preserves: Apricot is a favorite of mine, but fig jam would be delicious here. Really any jam would be delicious!
- Dried fruit: I like using cranberries, but raisins or cherries are other tasty options. You can also leave the dried fruit off, if preferred.
With just four ingredients, this Grilled or Baked Brie recipe is salty, sweet, creamy, and crunchy – making it the perfect party food for any gathering!
It’s such a great, easy, last-minute appetizer that everyone will love.
Pro tip: If you’re serving more than three people, I’d double the recipe. This is always the first thing to go at the appetizer table. Always.
