Trader Joe's Cilantro Jalapeno Hummus doesn't have anything on the deliciousness of this easy-to-make, very healthy hummus!
seeded or unseeded depending on the amount of spice you like (I use 3 whole jalapenos and find that the hummus is spicy, but not too spicy)
a generous handful of cilantro
about 1 cup
15 oz can no-sodium chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
about 1 lemon fresh lemon juice
Add all ingredients to the bowl of food processor. Process until very smooth, about 1 minute- enjoy.
Store in a tightly sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
The amount of jalapenos will depend on how spicy you want your hummus. I like mine with a little kick, so I use 3-4 jalapenos with seeds and ribs. ;)
