Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms are the perfect app for your next party! Who doesn't love this cheesy and bacon filled deliciousness in the bite-sized perfection of mushroom caps?!
1/2cupshredded Parmesan cheese or other favorite cheese
2tablespoonschopped fresh basil or parsley + more for garnish
Salt and pepper, to taste
24 2-inchcrimini or white mushrooms remove stems and hollow out a cavity
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Place bacon on a rack over a baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until crisp. It will get crispier as it cools. Once cooked, dice and transfer to mixing bowl with other ingredients.
While bacon is cooking, sauté onion for about 5 mins, add garlic and sauté for an additional 2 minutes. Stir in spinach; cook just until wilted. Transfer into mixing bowl with bacon; allow to cool slightly.
Stir in bread crumbs, cheese and basil or parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
Place mushrooms on baking sheet. Spoon into each one bacon/bread crumb mixture. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 15-20 minutes. Serve warm from the oven. Enjoy!
