Gingerbread Latte

Print Recipe
Perfectly sweet and delicately spiced, this Gingerbread Latte is going to be your new favorite coffee treat! It's made with my favorite Community Coffee, milk, warm spices, a touch of molasses, and is naturally sweetened with maple syrup. Such an epic winter drink!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups milk of your choice
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or other preferred sweetener)
  • 1 teaspoon molasses
  • 3/4 cup strongly brewed Community Coffee
  • Optional garnishes: whipped cream, cinnamon, gingerbread men cookies

Instructions

  • Steam the milk in a small saucepan or in the microwave or in an electric frother. This will only take a couple of minutes. Milk should not start boiling.
  • Meanwhile, in a glass measuring cup or small mixing bowl, combine the spices, maple syrup, molasses and coffee. Mix until well combined. Divide between two mugs.
  • Pour the milk over the coffee evenly between the two mugs. Serve immediately with garnishes, if preferred.

Notes

I love to dress up this latte with whipped cream, a dusting of cinnamon and a cute little gingerbread man.
