My Go-To Detox Smoothie

My go-to detox smoothie is veggie-filled, protein-packed and truly the most delicious nutrient-rich smoothie! (vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free)

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder*
  • 2 cups liquid**
  • 2 handfuls fresh spinach leaves
  • 1/2 peeled frozen banana
  • 1/4 large frozen cucumber
  • 1-2 stalks frozen celery
  • 1 cup ice I like a slushy, super cold smoothie. Play around to get preferred amount.
  • 1-2 packets stevia if preferred

Instructions

  • Throw everything in your Blendtec, press the smoothie button and let your fabulous blender do all the work!
  • If you have a different blender, just follow their instructions for the perfect smoothie texture.

Notes

*I use vegan chocolate Shakeology. Any favorite protein powder will work.
**My preference is about 1 cup water, 3/4 cup unsweetened cashew (or almond) milk and 1/4 cup orange juice.
***I like using all frozen fruit. It makes for a super thick and creamy smoothie.
****Nutritional info calculated with 30g protein powder and 1 cup unsweetened almond milk.
