Jazz up your waffles with a quick, easy, figure-friendly cherry almond compote!
fresh or frozen cherries
dash of cloves
Combine all ingredients in a microwavable bowl.
Heat in the microwave for 20 second increments until compote is of desired warmth.
Use compote to top waffles, pancakes, French toast, yogurt, oatmeal and/or cottage cheese. Add desired amount of almond slivers.
For serving more than one- just double, triple or quadruple the recipe.
