Gingerbread Hot Cocoa (Naturally Sweetened)

Warm, cozy, delicious and completely dairy-free + naturally sweetened!
  • 1 ¼ cups milk*
  • 1 teaspoon molasses
  • 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 packet stevia or other sweetener (optional)
  • whipped cream and/or marshmallows (for serving)
  1. Pour milk into a glass microwave safe measuring cup or large mug.
  2. Add all other ingredients and heat for about 1 minute in microwave at high power. Stir and continue heating in 30 second intervals, stirring after each, until desired temperature. Top with fresh whipped cream and/or marshmallows and serve.
Recipe Notes

*Use dairy-free milk for vegan. I like using unsweetened vanilla almond or cashew milk.
