My Go-To Detox Smoothie + Blendtec Giveaway
Exciting stuff happening today!!! I’ve got one last holiday giveaway for my favorite readers and I saved the best for last! Two awesome favorites to share with you- my go-to detox smoothie and Blendtec giveaway.
This veggie-filled, protein-packed smoothie is truly the most delicious nutrient-rich smoothie! During the summer, I had one every single morning for my first meal of the day. Since the weather has turned a little colder I don’t crave them quite as much as during the summer, but they’re definitely my go-to when I’ve been enjoying too many Christmas cookies!
And Blendtec is my go-to blender! I’ve owned the Ninja, Vitamix and Blendtec and honestly, in my opinion, Blendtec is the highest quality premium blender on the market. If you’re interested in gifting someone (or yourself) a Blendtec for Christmas, the certified refurbished blenders are $30 off with free shipping.
If you’ve never used a Blendtec, let me tell you, it’s 100% worth every penny. I’ve had mine for about 2 years and love everything about it. You can make batter, cocktails, smoothies, soup, ice cream, seriously everything. And have you ever seen the twister jar? It makes nut butter in SECONDS. I also use it to make quick drinks. It’s nice to have the option of a large blender while still having the smaller jar option too. And they are very easy to clean, which makes life even better.
Love all of fun messages! And a perfectly blended mouth-watering smoothie!
My Go-To Detox Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder*
- 2 cups liquid**
- 2 handfuls fresh spinach leaves
- 1/2 peeled frozen banana
- 1/4 large frozen cucumber
- 1-2 stalks frozen celery
- 1 cup ice, I like a slushy, super cold smoothie. Play around to get preferred amount.
- 1-2 packets stevia, if preferred
Instructions
- Throw everything in your Blendtec, press the smoothie button and let your fabulous blender do all the work!
- If you have a different blender, just follow their instructions for the perfect smoothie texture.
Notes
**My preference is about 1 cup water, 3/4 cup unsweetened cashew (or almond) milk and 1/4 cup orange juice.
***I like using all frozen fruit. It makes for a super thick and creamy smoothie.
****Nutritional info calculated with 30g protein powder and 1 cup unsweetened almond milk.

A detox salad with lots of healthy veggies, but if I had a Blentec blender, it would be great to make some healthy protein/veggie-packed smoothies!
For sure! Great for on the go!
We love the vanilla shakeologie, pumpkin spice, almond milk, seltzer flavored water, 1 frozen banana, peanut butter powder, and ice. Yummy.
That sounds so yummy. I’ve never even thought to try seltzer water in a smoothie… might have to give that a try!
I am horrible with blenders because I use it relentlessly; at least twice a day for both my hubby and myself. I love experimenting with my smoothies by adding almost every veggie that’s in the fridge. Would love to give the Blendtec a try!!
I use my blender like crazy too! Good luck!
You have great recipes and ideas. I am experimenting with smoothies and having difficulty getting raspberry seeds ground fine enough for my liking. Would love to try the Blendtec and compare it to others.
Thanks so much for your sweet comment, Bonnie and good luck on the giveaway!

Hi Kim. I am interested in Shakeology. It looks to be about $153 for a 30 serving bag, including shipping. Is there a cheaper way to buy it? Or do you know of a good alternative protein powder? Thanks!
Hi Denise! I absolutely love Shakeology. It is a little pricey, but it’s so much more than just a protein powder. You can check out more about it at my link– > http://www.shakeology.com/kimscravings
If you order automatic monthly home direct, you can get a 30 oz. bag for 129.95, including shipping. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions about it.
As far as taste, I also really like Aloha and Quest protein powders.

I use a blendtec at the smoothie bar I work at and i LOVE it! Would love to have one of my own, but out of my price range for now. I know first hand how awesome these blenders are!
