I teamed up with Personal Trainer Foods to share How to Meal Prep Like a Rockstar!! As always, all opinions are my own.
I totally understand that it can seem daunting to look at a 7-day week and decide what you’re going to eat before you’ve even started your week. Meal prep makes life less stressful in the long run, though. Having the right tools and feeling prepared for the week is SO helpful. I like to make my meal prep even easier with Personal Trainer Food.
Personal Trainer Food is a meal plan subscription service that takes the stress out of meal planning and prep. You simply order, online, the best meal plan for your lifestyle and the meals are delivered straight to your door. I ordered from the one time, 28-day You Choose meal plan. For less then $12 a day, I was able to choose three meals from 140 available options.
For breakfast, my son and I love the frittata omelette with sausage. Before having Personal Trainer Food, my husband would cook a chicken breast in the morning before work, to take for lunch. He has greatly enjoyed the many options, like the rotisserie chicken with broccoli, that he can just grab and go. With over 800 meal combinations, there is something for everyone!
As a busy mom, I’m loving the Personal Trainer Food meal plan. They truly have a customer for life!
Sunday is the day I plan out meals for the week and prep food ahead of time. Since I’ve been using Personal Trainer Food, it takes way less time and it totally sets me up to have a healthy and stress-free week. In the pictures, here, you can see some ideas from my favorite Personal Trainer Food options broken down by meal.
Whether you’re looking for healthy, quick meals in order to keep off or lose weight or you’re just extremely busy and need convenient options to prep; Personal Trainer Food makes sticking to a healthy diet so easy… and delicious.
Personal Trainer Food offers meals that are high in protein, contain good carbs and healthy fats with no heavily-processed food product while trapping natural flavors and freshness with their flash-frozen method. By using this method, their products require no fillers, hidden sugars or bad carbs while benefiting from the fact that they contain either low or no gluten.
I usually only prep my breakfasts, lunches and snacks. I prefer to cook up quick and easy dinners as usual each night. The exception to this is if I make a huge pot of chili or a large casserole on Sunday. Everyone is different with varying schedules each week so do what works for YOU!
Anyone can do this!
Benefits of meal prep:
- All your meals are ready for the week
- Saves you money on eating out, expensive take-out delivery services and wasting groceries you don’t use
- They are easy to take to work or school
- You will have more free time during the week to do other things rather than cooking for each and every meal
- You know EXACTLY what ingredients you’re eating
- They can be tailored to your dietary needs whether it be for weight loss, muscle gain or dietary restrictions
Tips for meal prep:
- Pick the day ahead of time to meal prep
- Decide what the menu will be
- Have all your food options ready to go
- Invest in washable, non BPA plastic food containers
- Invest in a cooler or insulated meal bag, if needed, depending on your work situation
- Keep the menu simple – simple food lasts longer than complex meals or elaborate dishes
For my prepped meals, I like to keep them clean, simple and healthy, which is so easy to do with Personal Trainer Food. They are a balanced mix of protein, carbs and greens.
