If you’re like me, you’re fully immersed in the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Between work and Christmas, I’m busier than ever. Thank goodness this is my last week of work and then I’ll be off for winter break. Yippee- I’m literally counting the hours!
Amid, the chaos and fun that comes with this time of year- I’m really trying to keep my eats clean and healthy. With sweet treats lurking around every corner this can be super challenging. I’ve been combating the dessert temptations by keeping nutritious foods, that I enjoy, within close reach. The new V8 Protein Shakes and Bars are the perfect goodies that taste like an indulgence!
Not only are the V8 Protein Shakes and Bars a great alternative to all of the sweets in the teachers’ lounge, but the shakes are my saving grace for a quick and convenient post workout protein-filled snack. Also, they are fantastic for a quick on-the-go breakfast when the mornings are a bit too crazy. The protein in the shake comes from Milk, Soy, Pea, Brown Rice and Quinoa. The shakes are even made with yummy veggies from Sweet Potatoes and Carrots. You won’t find any high fructose corn syrup in these protein shakes- V8 Protein Shakes are sweetened with Honey, Brown Rice Syrup and Sugar. I especially love that they’re low-calorie and packed with 12g of protein and 3g of fiber. A good-for-you choice that’s incredibly tasty too!
I’m absolutely loving the V8 Protein Bars, too. They are beyond delish! I always have a bar stashed in my handbag for an afternoon pick-me-up. I typically need a little something in the hours between lunch and dinner to keep me energized and quiet my grumbling tummy. On gym days, these V8 Protein Bars are especially important for fueling my workout. They provide the perfect combo of carbs and protein to power through an intense Body Pump session or 7 mile run.
I found the new V8 Protein Shakes and Bars near the health and beauty department, while shopping at my local Walmart.
