Healthier Honey Mustard Salad Dressing
Hey all of you salad lovin’ saucy people! A very quick pop-in, today, to share my salad’s new best friend- Healthier Honey Mustard Salad Dressing.
It’s such a crazy busy time in my life, right now! Who am I kidding? It’s pretty much always crazy busy, but with school starting in less than one week, a grandbaby on the way and did I mention my sister got married Wednesday night? Plus, all of the deliciousness I have scheduled to cook up for this here blog! Yikes- that’s a lot!!
There’s no denying the importance of having quick and easy meals prepped and ready-to-go. So what’s a hungry hangry girl to do when dinnertime rolls around and the family is expecting something yummy?
Answer- Give yourself 5 minutes and stir together 6 simple ingredients + salt.
Quick, easy AND delicious! What more could you ask for? Maybe an extra couple of hours in the day? It was worth a try. 🙂
This dressing/sauce will pretty much pair well with anything. It’s wonderful with chicken, either as a topper for grilled chicken or a dip for chicken crispers. Fabulous on any variety of salad you could dream up. Imagine it on the Brussels Sprouts Salad or use it as the dressing when prepping your salads in a jar.
Quick tip- I have a recipe coming up, that will be using this dressing. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll be sure to have some ready to go, in the fridge! But before then, you should totally change things up, skip the sriracha ranch and drizzle the honey mustard all over this salad.
- 1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons raw honey or maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 packet Stevia
-
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl or jar and whisk vigorously until well blended. Alternatively, add all ingredients to a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake vigorously until all ingredients are well blended.

Something to think about….
Do you ever make your own dressings or sauces?
What’s your favorite salad dressing variety?
Homemade dressings are the best. My favorite right now is red vinegar, dijon mustard, honey, and olive oil. I am going to make the honey mustard tonight. My version uses lemon juice; so it will be a nice alternative to use the apple cider vinegar. I am trying to stay dairy free, so I’ll see how it tastes without the yogurt. Also, why unfiltered apple cider vinegar over regular?
thanks.
I’m going to have to try your version… sounds good! No reason for unfiltered… just what Trader Joe’s sells.
Do you store it in the refrigerator or should I leave it at just room temperature? I just prepared one for tomorrow. Thanks!
I store mine in the fridge. With the Greek yogurt, that would probably be best. 🙂
Thanks for confirming! I was ambivalent because of the olive oil component. Not sure if that will change the consistency after storing it in the ref. Tastes great btw. Thanks again! 🙂
How long will this dressing keep in the fridge?
I would say about two weeks and I would look at the expiration date of your Greek yogurt and take that into account. Enjoy!
