Friday Favorites and Halloween Highlights!!
TGIF!! I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween and you’re ready for a wonderful weekend. I know that I am. After the craziness of last weekend, I’m ready to have some at home-time. There are so many great products that I’m loving and I’ve been meaning to get this post up for awhile. What better day than a Friday, right? So, here we go……
If you follow me on Instagram, then you may have seen some of these things already; including this NuGo Dark Chocolate Pretzel bar with sea salt that I had before my run Wednesday. It was fantastic…. I felt like I was already indulging in Halloween candy!
If it’s a “favorites post” then you should know there must be something included from Trader Joe’s. It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve been able to make a stop there and I’m really missing these cranberry and pumpkin seed pita crisps. If you love sweet and salty, you have to try these.
I came across this handy scarf tutorial the other day on Facebook. I don’t even remember who posted. If you know, let me know and I’ll give them credit. I need to get an extra long scarf, so that I can give this a try.
My go-to dinner lately has been cinnamon roasted delicata squash and Brussels sprouts served either with chickpeas, chicken sausage or eggs and almond butter. I cannot get enough of this simple throw together meal. I’ve had it several nights a week for the past couple of weeks. It comes together in less than 30 minutes too.
Loving this motivational quote!! I need all the motivation I can get for my 20-miler this weekend!
The people at Clif Bar so generously sent me a surprise delivery. I think we all love unexpected gifts, especially when they involve tasty snacks. My kids snack on Clif Kid Z bars and I’m in love with Kit’s Organic Fruit and Nut bars. The fruit and nut bars have very few all-natural ingredients. The cashew bars are made with only dates, cashews, almonds, and sea salt.
A couple of weeks ago the awesome people from Lincoln Bark contacted me about a review of their nutritious dog treats. No, silly…. not for me to review, but for Max to review. I was pretty excited because these treats are:
- 100% natural, made with human-grade ingredients
- powered by the superfood Chia Seed- which promotes canine health by effectively utilizing antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids
- baked by hand in the USA and created with only the purest, most wholesome ingredients
- delicious…. I can’t imagine your best friend not loving these!
I think it’s safe to say, he’s pretty smitten. They sent him a variety of flavors (oatmeal peanut butter, roasted peanut, chicken liver, duck & pea, and wild salmon) to try and I would venture to guess he’s loving them all equally. Head on over to Lincoln Bark and check out all of their wonderful products and read more about this super cool company.
Halloween was a huge success. The kids had a blast and scored big!
Madelyn rocked Halloween! She reminds me so much of me when I was little, in this costume.
And Landen decided to go as a punk rocker, just so he could get candy.
When we got to my mom’s, she had a pizza that looked like a pumpkin.
And eyeball cookies too! These were so soft and delicious.
Madelyn with her cousins before heading out.
Something to think about……
What have you been loving lately? Please share!!
How was your Halloween? Tell me something that you did.
Any fun plans this weekend? I have family pictures on Saturday and 20 miles to run on Sunday. Please, wish me luck for both!!
Hopefully, I can find some time to post tomorrow. If I do, see you tomorrow and if I don’t, have a wonderful weekend.
