Fit with ASICS
Please excuse me while I take a little break from the kitchen and bring you some fit fashion talk. I hope your new year is off to a fantastic start and you’re smashing all of those 2015 fitness goals that you’ve set for yourself.
You guys know that I LOVE to run and running has been my go-to workout for some time. I’ve also shared that over the last year or so, I’ve started incorporating a lot more weight training into my workouts. Since running has previously been my main focus, I always purchase new running shoes, but never shoes that are specifically for crosstraining. I wear my running shoes while running, lifting, walking the dog, going to the grocery store and for casual Friday at work.
Can anyone else relate? Yes? Well, do you also notice that your feet start to hurt after wearing your running shoes too long? Mine do. In fact, I took my running shoes to Disney World, but preferred to wear my flip flops because my runners make my feet feel so constricted after long periods of time. And I thought this was just normal of all tennis shoes!
I was so excited to get the opportunity to review the ASICS GEL-Fit Sana. Yay! I was finally going to get the chance to test out a true crosstrainer. I seriously cannot believe the difference in a crosstrainer and a running shoe. If you’ve never truly experienced a comfortable training shoe, you really need to give the ASICS GEL-Fit Sana a try.
The first day I wore these- I put them on at 8:30 in the morning, before BodyPump. After a tough workout, I headed to the grocery store, came home and pretty much cooked all afternoon, Madelyn and I took Max on a walk and then when I finally got ready to take them off it was 8:00pm. My feet still felt nice and cozy… it was almost as if I was going about my day barefoot! They’re super light (5.6 oz) and feature flexible support bands from heel to forefoot, to provide adaptable support in designated areas and a customized fit. These shoes truly move with my feet like no shoe I’ve ever owned.
Not only is the GEL-Fit Sana REALLY comfortable, it’s also super fashionable too! I love the comfort these shoes provide during a sweaty weight training sesh, but I also really enjoy the cute style they provide for running errands around town.
You know me… I had to go with the pink/purple, but there are also several other gorgeous color combos you can view here. Best part is- these shoes are only $80. If you ask me, that’s a pretty wonderful price for a shoe as versatile as these!
Something to think about….
Do you pay attention to whether you’re wearing a running shoe for cross training activities?
