Favorite Things #2
Happy Tuesday! I’m back with another edition of Favorite Things. It was quite a fun weekend and I’ve got loads to share with you. I hope everyone else had a fun weekend celebrating Father’s Day and just plain enjoying summertime.
Not only was Sunday Father’s Day, but it also happened to be my son’s 16th birthday. We took him out to one of my favorite restaurants, Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. By bringing my own dressing, I was able to order a delicious salad with lobster and shrimp and still stick to the Whole30. Everything was absolutely delicious! If you follow on Instagram you may have seen all of these photos.
Over the weekend we also had tons of fun visiting Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas. It’s less than two hours away, from where I live, and this was my second trip. We made it a mother-son trip and stayed overnight in a cute Airbnb. Magnolia Market is definitely one of my favorite places to visit and I never have any trouble finding fun home decor items to buy.
We arrived early Friday and had plenty of time to browse Magnolia and a few other vintage shops in the area. We had the most fabulous dinner at Ninfa’s Mexican Restaurant and if you’re visiting and love Mexican food, it’s a must.
After dinner we headed back to our little townhouse and enjoyed an early night in. I brought along a package that I had received from G.H. Cretors Popcorn, complete with movies, a blanket, tissue and of course the BEST popcorn on the planet. Such fun!!
Landen and I watched Moonlight while shoveling in the popcorn!! None for me this go round due to following the Whole30, but believe me I’ve shoveled in plenty of G.H. Cretors Popcorn. Have you tried it? Brad and I are addicted – once you start, you just can’t stop!
G.H. Cretors Popcorn is made without artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. They only use the highest-quality, simple and real ingredients—the ones you can actually pronounce. Aged cheddar cheese. Fresh creamery butter. And handmade caramel cooked by real Candy Chefs to name a few. One bite, and you’ll taste the difference, or more appropriately, deliciousness.
All of you gluten-free gals and guys will be glad to know, there is no gluten processed in the G.H. Cretors Popcorn facility, and all of their products are Certified Gluten-Free. They also use Non-GMO popcorn and Non-GMO ingredients whenever possible in all of the flavors, and only organic ingredients in the Organics line.
Landen enjoyed the Just the Cheese mix. I personally love the mix of cheese and caramel in the Mix variety, but I also can’t wait to try the Organic Dill Pickle. So many great flavors!!
And I must mention, for those of you with plans to visit Waco, Texas; breakfast at Olive Branch Bakery and Cafe was wonderful. This was my 3rd time enjoying their breakfast and it never disappoints. They were also super accommodating to my Whole30 requests. 😊
Also, worth mentioning and also super accommodating, don’t pass up a juice, smoothie, or smoothie bowl from Oh My Juice.
