Thanks to Costco for helping me create an awesome emergency diaper kit for the car, so that I’m prepared for whatever might come my way!
Creating an emergency diaper kit for the car was one of the smartest things that I’ve done to stay prepared as a grandmother on the go. If I had one grandparenting tip to pass along, it would be to be prepared for anything. Yes, we carry a diaper bag for Baby Will, but sometimes in a rush to get out the door the diaper bag is not quite as full as we need it to be.
Please tell me I’m not the only one that gets into these situations. Especially, in the summer months when we’re frequenting the playground, zoo and parks we just seem to need more of everything, from diapers to sunscreen.
After getting completely fed up with my lack of proper diaper bag packing, I spent literally 5 minutes packing everything that I might possibly need when out and about with my grandson, Will. This emergency diaper kit for the car is in no way a substitute for his diaper bag, but a way to make sure I’ve always got the essentials with me when we’re away from home.
My Emergency Diaper Kit for the Car: What does it include?
First things first, my favorite diapers are a must! When I buy diapers, I really stock up and get Huggies Little Movers Plus, which are only available at Costco. I loved Huggies diapers when my own kiddos were babies and the value of buying Huggies Little Movers Plus, simply cannot be beat. The plus means that these particular Huggies are the most absorbent of all of the Huggies diapers. They also provide 12 hour protection with the Leak Lock® system. So, not only am I getting a great deal when I purchase from Costco, but I’m also getting great quality with Huggies Little Movers Plus!
Not necessarily essential, but snacks and toys are always welcome to have on board.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you! A change of clothes CAN be a must. You might want to consider a change for yourself too! Ha! I also like to have a blanket and maybe burpee cloth stashed.
You’ll definitely need a changing pad and wipes. No more running out of wipes mid-change. I’ve got you covered with this diaper kit!
A few other items I added to the kit were bandaids, hand sanitizer and small trash bags. Other things that would make great additions are a couple of unopened bottles of water, sunscreen, a $5 bill and some spare change.
Find Huggies Little Movers Plus at your local Costco near other diapers and wipes. In my Costco this is near paper products. Use this store locator link to make sure your Costco has Huggies Little Movers Plus available.
