Cilantro-Lime Chicken Burger (makes 4 burgers)

1 lb. lean ground chicken (lean turkey would work well too)
1/4 cup yellow onion, diced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/3 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
the juice from one small lime
your favorite burger fixins- buns, onion, avocado, mustard or mayo, tomato and lettuce

Brad’s the grill master, but he says to prepare the grill and preheat it to about 350 degrees. *If you don’t have a grill these could easily be cooked in a skillet or in the oven.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
Shape mixture into 4 burger patties. The mixture may same a little wet, but no worries, this is where all of the juice comes from.
Transfer patties to grill and cook them for about 3-4 mins on each side and until they are cooked all the way through.
Serve over a salad or in a bun with all of your favorite fixins.

*If you would prefer to cook these in a skillet, spray a large skillet with a natural cooking spray and allow the skillet to warm over medium heat for about 5 mins. Cook burgers over medium-high heat for about 5-7 mins on each side. If you prefer to cook the burgers in the oven, preheat the oven to 400 degrees and prepare a baking sheet with foil and natural cooking spray. Cook for about 8 mins, flip and cook for another 5-8 mins.
