The frozen waffle is a blank canvas begging to be topped with your favorite ingredients. To get your creative juices flowing, enjoy my most recent ideas for 3 Fun Frozen Waffle Hacks.
Oh, you thought frozen waffles were reserved for tossing in the toaster and adding a little butter and syrup, when you’re rushed in the morning? Ha! Not so. It’s so much easier to heat a frozen waffle and make magic, than it is to get out the waffle iron, the mixer, the flour and mix it all from scratch.
And now that Eggo Waffles have colors and flavors from natural sources, I picked up several different varieties at my local Walmart! Oh my goodness… I’m so loving the new Eggo Thick & Fluffy Waffles!
I used them to have a little fun in the kitchen. I know you’ve been there – you’re craving pizza and have everything, but the crust. Eggo to the rescue!
These pizza waffles surpassed my expectations. They were so dang good! I kept it simple and just added tomato sauce, grated cheese and one large pepperoni to mine. I then cooked it in the oven at 350 degrees F. for about 10 minutes (from a frozen state). The whole family really enjoyed this easy, super quick dinner idea.
For a little extra pizzazz at the breakfast, I used Eggo Mini Waffles and created fruit and waffle kebabs. These are so fun and colorful, that not only do they make a fabulous morning meal, but they would also be great served for brunch or as a party snack.
Pair the waffle kebabs with fruit or chocolate dip and they would make a yummy dessert option too. I love using straws rather than skewers for a extra color. And I chose pineapple, banana and strawberries, but feel free to use any fruit you may have on hand.
Last, but definitely not least – Eggo Thick & Fluffy Waffles make the perfect top and bottom for sandwiches. It seriously does not get any better than a waffle sandwich!
I filled my waffle breakfast sandwich with a drippy egg and bacon. Feel free to add even more flavor with jelly or avocado slices.
Since you won’t have to exert any energy whipping up a waffle, you can put that excess brain power to use: Perhaps mini pizzas, waffle kebabs or a waffle breakfast sandwich. The world is your oyster frozen waffle … now get to it!
I found tons of wonderful Eggo Waffle varieties at my local Walmart, down the frozen food aisle in the breakfast section. So many choices!
