Hi there, guys! As you may recall, I’m partnering with Kohl’s on their Make Your Move Campaign; which is all about promoting health and well being. I’ve shared tips for de-stressing and the importance of strength training. For this post, we’re talking nutrition. One of my favorite ways to cram plenty of nutrients into one day or one meal is through healthy smoothies.

Kohl's #MakeYourMove Campaign

I adore smoothies because they’re such an easy way to get TONS of nutrient-dense foods in a single, portable meal. There are a myriad of choices when it comes to creating a healthy smoothie- you can add protein powder, go with fruit-only smoothies or sneak in veggies. I typically add 1-2 hand fulls of greens (kale or spinach) to my smoothies because leafy greens provide our bodies with so many valuable vitamins and minerals. The smoothies don’t look very pretty with greens added in, but trust me, you can’t even taste them. I would add a handful of spinach or kale to all of these smoothies, but for the sack of them looking pretty in the picture, I left the greens out of several.

My Five Favorite Nutritious Delicious Smoothie Recipes

All of the smoothies I’m sharing are adapted from The Blended Drink Handbook, available at Kohl’s. It includes 101 easy delicious recipe blends for healthful living. I’m going to get so much use out of this book, especially during the summer months, when I crave smoothies everyday. There are so many great smoothie ideas!
