It has been forever since I’ve posted a workout, on the blog. I’ve got a whole page dedicated to a variety of workouts, but with all of this time spent in the kitchen I just haven’t been able to post much fitness related. After receiving some super cute fitness wear, I was inspired to develop a simple no weights needed circuit-type workout. Before we get hot and sweaty, let’s chat about the great workout wear I received. Were you guys aware that Carrie Underwood has her own fitness line? If there’s anything that gets me in the mood to knock out a kick butt workout, it’s looking cute while lunging, squatting and planking! Ha!

What I love most about CALIA by Carrie is the functionality of the pieces. Not only are the clothes perfect for a sweat session, but they’re also gorgeous enough to wear out and about. These printed leggings are so stylish and the long sleeve shirt is made with really soft material. My favorite, though, is the Ruched Knit Vest.

When I first pulled it out of the box, I wasn’t so sure what I thought. But once I put this vest on, I knew it would be a fall staple. I’m so in love with this vest- the fit is very flattering and it’s so comfortable. I have other vests with hoods and the hood doesn’t lay well and tends to drive me crazy. Not a problem with the CALIA model and it’s just fitted enough to give it a feminine look. Now, if it would just cool off enough to wear it! 🙂

The message behind the CALIA fitness line is really inspirational and all about “staying the path”. One way that I “stay the path” is by keeping my workouts varied. There are some days I hit the gym. Other days I push play with 21 Day Fix EXTREME or another Beachbody On Demand workout. But many times I get busy with my own circuit-type challenge, moving from one workout to another with whatever I’m feeling. At home workouts are especially great for chilly days when you don’t feel like getting out of the house! I know those days are coming! 🙂

This Hot Mess Full Body Workout incorporates many of my favorite moves from squat jumps (man, are those tough!) to burpees (nothing easy about those either). Yes, this circuit is simple, but easy… um, NO. Personally, I feel that if I’m going to take the time to exercise, it better be worth it.
