Happy Monday, Friends!! How was your weekend? I hope it was a fun one. Mine was VERY low-key to say the least…. we spent the entire weekend, including Friday, holed up in the house due to the horrible ice storm, here in Texas. No marathon, no gymnastics meet, no manicure, no Christmas show for Madelyn with her teacher, no spending Saturday evening in Dallas….. we had tons of stuff planned for this weekend, but we stayed inside by the fire and pretty much just ate all weekend long. That’s right, I’ve got lots of new recipes to share with you! Taco Chili in the Crock Pot | Hungry Healthy Girl The one I’m sharing today, Taco Chili, is my favorite. Remember when I said that this chili was my favorite? Well, this taco chili just took the top spot and is like no other chili I’ve ever had…. it turned out to be the best chili. EVER. The refried beans and Contadina tomato sauce are the perfect additions and add a wonderful creaminess that most chili recipes don’t have. All of the ingredients meld together so well and make for a super tasty bowl of slightly spicy delicious chili.

Taco Chili in the Crock Pot | Hungry Healthy Girl Almost even more awesome than the taste of this chili is the ease of cooking it up. This recipe is seriously just as simple as combining ingredients in a Crock Pot. You don’t even have to worry about browning your ground turkey before adding it to the Crock Pot; just stir it in and it will slow cook and marinate all day, taking on the flavor of the seasonings. Could not be easier….. or tastier! This would be great to make over the holidays to feed a crowd, but not keep you hanging out in the kitchen all day. ContadinaLogoAuthorPro As I mentioned, I used Contadina brand tomato sauce and diced tomatoes for this chili and I could not be happier with the quality of these ingredients. Contadina has also created these really funny comedic video series, ‘Somewhat Famous’ . The series is a funny spin off celebrity reality shows, and takes viewers into the kitchens of real moms, who happen to share the same names as A-list celebrities. Check out the one posted below; featuring “Meg Ryan”.
