Hope everyone is enjoying a long holiday weekend! I sure am! Be sure to remember the reason you’re getting an extra day off of work. I’m linking up with Katie, to share my Marvelous weekend and a Marvelous giveaway with you today.
Friday night, I took my own advice regarding destressing and went out with friends for dinner and drinks. I had a blast and it definitely worked….stressful thoughts begone!
Madelyn rode horses and spent the night with her horse friends and trainer. Her trainer sent me this picture and it is just too cute not to share.
Saturday night was Madelyn’s dance banquet. The location was decorated in a candy theme and was super cute. They had a catered dinner with an ice cream machine. Madelyn had a really great time with all of her teammates and it was nice visiting with all of the other mothers.
Yesterday, I was super proud of myself….I didn’t have anything going on in the morning, so I decided to add a run to my 30-minute Body Revolution strength training workout. I’m so glad that I did, it felt great. After running the Color Me Rad race last weekend, I realized how much I missed running.
I had a microwave muffin for a snack last night and I totally forgot how good these things are! I used the recipe in the link, but I used kabocha squash instead of pumpkin and added in some fresh blueberries.
Now for that Marvelous giveaway! Danielle, who blogs over at Treadmills ‘n Truffles offered me a headband to review and one to give away to a lucky reader. These non-slip headbands are perfect for running and working out. I chose the chevron print; which is so cute. Not only would I wear these to workout in, but they are cute enough to wear to work or where ever.
As I mentioned earlier, I ran 6 miles yesterday and my headband stayed in place perfectly. Take a look above, no movement after 4 of those miles! They have a velvety backing that keeps them in place. Danielle is offering a Marvelous limited-time discount and you totally need to take advantage of the great deal!
Enter to win your own non-slip headband. I’ll pick and announce a winner on Thursday morning.
