Most Popular Recipes of 2012

Happy Friday {I think}! It’s so hard to keep up with the days when I’m not going to work. 😉

Well in just 4 more days, it will be bye-bye 2012 and hello 2013! I still can’t believe how fast this year has flown by, but if I think back to all that has happened this past year, and it actually was quite a FULL year. We’ll save that for another post, though.

Today, I want to share with you the 12 most popular recipes of the year. These may not necessarily be my favorites {many of them are}, but I’ll do a separate post on my favorite recipes of 2012.

I’m listing these countdown style, from #12 to the #1 most popular recipe.

12. Coconut Sweet Potato Casserole {Gluten-free, Paleo and Vegan}

This is a favorite of mine and Brad’s. We gobbled this up on Thanksgiving Day {pun intended}. It’s so sweetly delicious, you’ll think you’re eating dessert.

11. Baked Cranberry Pumpkin Oatmeal

This was my first try at baked oatmeal and this recipe definitely exceeded my expectations. This recipe is perfect for these chilly mornings we’ve been having!

10. Overnight Cinnabun with chia frosting

Interesting that this made the list because the recipe isn’t actually posted on my site, but I do have a link to the recipe. It may be that the pumpkin cottage cheese or that it was “What I Ate Wednesday” was searched for….who knows? Even though I thoroughly enjoyed the cinnabun, I haven’t made it since. I really need to play around with the ingredients and come up with another variation.

9. Pumpkin Pie Power Balls

Love these things! This recipe is a great way to use up any leftover pumpkin you may have and create a really healthy snack all at once. And they are gluten-free, Paleo, & vegan.

8. Fudgy Black Bean Brownies

Perfect splurge that you don’t have to feel guilty about….unless of course, you plan to eat the whole pan! 😉

7. Paleo Snack Balls

It’s been awhile since I’ve made these and I’ve decided before we go back to school; I’m going to make a bunch for Madelyn for snack time….she loves them.

6. Butternut Squash Chicken Chili {slow-cooker recipe}

This is definitely the perfect time to dust off the ol’ slow-cooker and let this chili cook all day!

5. Microwave Pumpkin Muffin {for one}

I have been loving creating new microwave muffin recipes and this was the first one I tried. I really like this one, especially topped with fruit and PB!

4. Pumpkin Rice Krispy Treats

These are especially festive to make around Halloween and Thanksgiving, but if you love pumpkin as much as I do; they’re great all year round!

3. Cauliflower Pizza Crust
This recipe is definitely one of the most searched recipes that lands people on my blog. Brad and I both really love this crust, but I would recommend using a pizza pan with little holes to allow for a crisper crust.

2. Whole Spelt Flour Pumpkin Muffins
This is one of my all-time favorite muffin recipes and will for sure be one of my favorite recipes of 2012. I’ve even made some different variations using the same base and loved all of the recipes.

1. Paleo Pumpkin Muffins
Wowsers…I can’t believe this is the most popular recipe on the blog and I’ve only made them once. This next week I’m making these suckers again. I really enjoyed them the first time around, but my go-to muffin is #2 {the Spelt Flour muffins}.

Something to think about….

Have you tried any of the above recipes? If so, which one(s)?

If you have a blog, what is the most popular post you have?

Have a fantastic Friday and a super weekend!!

    You have so many great recipes! More than what’s listed, that’s for sure! I want to try your black bean brownies.

    So you got me interested in what my top blog recipes are. Turns out my caulliflower pizza crust came in at number 1. But not too much further down the list was when I did a remake of your recipe for chickpea chocolate chip cookies. :)

    Oh Gosh, I have a hard time to decide which one of these I want to try first! I definitely will go for the Coconut Sweet potato casserloe and the muffins.
