Going Greek

TGIF!!

Here’s a little something if you trying to savor the last few weekends of Summer and enjoy cooking out while you can.

Last weekend my family cooked out and I experimented a bit with the burgers; which turned out so tasty and juicy. I added guacamole to my burger and didn’t need any other toppings. I also made an old favorite to go alongside the burgers.

Lots of yummy flavors in this burger and super juicy from the added bell pepper!
Ingredients
  • 1lb. lean organic ground turkey (any ground meat would work)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup feta cheese
  • 1 green onion, diced
  • 1 cup red pepper, diced (about one large)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients together and form into patties.
  2. Cook on the grill, skillet or oven.
  3. I grilled mine and they took a total of about 10 mins to cook.

What went alongside the burgers was actually my favorite part of the meal….the couscous salad. It is delicious, light and refreshing. All of the flavors and textures combine perfectly. The roasted corn was pretty tasty, too. The sweet corn combined with spicy cayenne pepper and tangy lime….my mouth was in flavor overload {in a good way}.
